A clever trick: split each number into tens and ones!

The Splitting Trick 🪄

Let's add 23 + 14

23 = 20 + 3

14 = 10 + 4

Tens: 20 + 10 = 30

Ones: 3 + 4 = 7

30 + 7 = 37

        🟧 A one-pebble = 1 pebble

        Add the tens, add the ones, then put them together!
